Chantal has a secret piece of advice for women who hope to succeed in business – follow your dreams!
Now a mother of two children with a wonderful supportive husband, and owner of a busy dance studio her advice is… “keep creating new dreams…and strive to achieve them”. “Busy does not even begin to describe it,” says Chantal, Founder of Dance Studio CDA Dance. “I started out teaching dance classes in the basement of my home in 1988, then moved to a scout hall with approximately 16 students. I signed my first lease at 18 years old, on Harry Walker Parkway. 300 sq ft and what seemed like an amazing studio! We outgrew this and moved to Davis Drive.”
Today, CDA Dance Academy conducts classes from a custom built 6000 square foot state of the art facility on Yonge St. & Mulock Dr. She would like to thank all her staff, students and parents that believe in her as she always strives to achieve more.
“To see a child come into the studio shy and uncertain, and watch them gain self-confidence, as well as learning how to dance, is the most regarding feeling a teacher can have. My dream has come true and now i’m creating new dreams.” CDA Dance has started a successful after-school program with a purple van to allow more children to learn the love of dance. CDA now has a triple threat program with acting, singing, and of course dancing. CDA also has many male dancers; one of the only studios in the area to offer all boys acro and hip hop class so that boys have an option for an all-boys class, or can join in with the girls.
